RICE, which is an acronym for Returns Invested in Children and Education, raises money from members of the Alternative Investment Industry to help children across Asia. It aims to improve the quality of life of the children it reaches, to give them access to the fundamentals for living: shelter, healthcare, education and hope.
By working with rigorously selected charities and charitable projects across the region, RICE is committed to ensuring that all donations it receives are spent on those who are in need of them. We seek to alleviate poverty in some cases by direct intervention with food and water, but in most cases by equipping children with the skills they need to make a better life than the one they were born into. By providing facilities and resources for education - teacher training, school building, shoes, books and bikes - we can make a proven difference in not only literacy and numeracy, but also in life skills like hygiene, health, and money skills.
We do not support projects which are political in nature, and the projects we work with must be secular.
